Pictures

We went to Dallas this past weekend to celebrate Richard and Papa's birthdays and to celebrate Papa's retirement(more pictures later). We also took some time on Friday to take Jack for his first official photo shoot. These are his 6 weeks pictures as he is 6 weeks old today! The time has flown by.

There is a method to my madness. I have pictures on my wall in the living room of the kids together and one of each kid. But for now I decided to do one of all three kids, one of Michal Kate, and one of the two boys together.

This last picture was pretty difficult to get. Michal Kate kept wanting to hug her baby brother so to keep them all sitting up and keep the baby in the picture, it took a few minutes. They did so good and I was so proud of them! I love Kiddie Kandids!

One Month and Zoo Fun

The Parrish family was in Tyler at a time share for the week so we decided to make a day of it on Thursday and go visit. We met them at Caldwell Zoo. The kids had a blast looking at all the animals. (I didn't post the random pics of the animals, sorry.) One of the exhibits at the zoo is a Wild Bird Walk through. The gave the kids food for the birds. Noah got a bird on his stick at one point and it really weirded him out. He kept shaking the stick to get the bird off and finally handed it to Lezli.
Here is Michal Kate and Noah standing in an elephants footprint. Sandra got Michal Kate and Noah both a new pair of sunglasses. I don't think Michal Kate has taken hers off for more than a few minutes since Thursday.
Here is Jack on his one month birthday and his first visit to the zoo. He seems very enthused don't you think?
Evidently somewhere between getting in the van at the house and getting to the zoo in Tyler, Noah got bit or stung by something in his ear. It swelled up about 3 times normal size and was bright red. We put Benadryl cream on it and gave him Benadryl per the PA's directions and just watched it. It was very strange to look at. This is a picture of the bad ear. If you look at the good ear you can see how much bigger it is.
After the zoo we went to eat and then back to the Parrish's time share for naps. When the kids woke up and it stopped raining we took them swimming.
Yes, Jack too. He obviously didn't like celebrating being one month in the water.
But he sure looked cute all wrapped up in his towell.
Pictures at home for his one month birthday. He looks to us like he is trying to smile these last couple of days.

This is all for now. Love you all.

Family & Friends

The last couple of weeks have been a lot of fun, and while we had the extra hands we took a picture of the 5 of us. It was quite a task and this is about as good as it gets.

On July 8 Lezli, the kids, and I drove to Dallas to pick up Ryne and Sandra at the airport on the 9th. Uncle Jeff, Carson, and Uncle Jason hadn't met Jack yet so they came over, along with Allyson, Austin, and Aidan to meet him.Uncle Jeff and Carson with Jack.

Uncle Jason entertained Jack so I could eat my dinner. He told Jack some interesting stories and theories about life for a 3 week old.
Carson with Jack
And then there were 7. From left to right...Aidan 3, Austin 6, Allyson 8, Jack 3 weeks, Noah 2, Carson 6, and Michal Kate 3.
Lezli got to stay with us for almost two weeks. She was and is such a big help!
I had pumped a bottle just in case and one night Jack was eating ever 1 1/2 to 2 hours and I couldn't keep up. So here he is on July 10 eating his first bottle. He loved it but was a little confused by it at first.

And surprisingly...Randy with Jack.
Sandra with Squirt(Noah) and Jack.
Matt also came and visited us for the weekend.
We had a houseful, but it was fun and we loved every minute of it. I will post more pictures later for more events from this week.
Love you all.

Family and the Fourth

On Tuesday Tracy, Suzanne, Allyson, Austin, and Aidan came to meet Jack for the first time. We had a fun day, and Jack loved meeting his family. I think Jack's aunts like him just a little bit, being that he was held for a solid 5 hours! He loved it!!
Here is Aunt Tracy holding Jack!

Coordinating Kiddos

I know it isn't the 4th yet, but on Sunday I coordinated the kids for the first time. My Aunt Carol sent Jack this outfit and the other two happened to already have theirs so I couldn't resist!
