Visiting with Friends

This last Thursday we were able to meet some of our dear friends Randy and Sandra, and Randy's parents in Tyler for dinner. They were on their way to their annual 2 week vacation in Florida, and it was close enough for all to make the short trip and delay their trip for a couple of hours. We met them at the Cracker Barrel. Michal Kate and Noah just lit up when they saw Randy and Sandra, a month is a long time in kid time, not to mention ours too. The kids were fascinated that there were toys in the restaurant and didn't want to sit down to eat. We ate our dinner and then went outside on the Cracker Barrel porch where they played checkers and rocked in the rocking chairs.


Michal Kate wasn't sure why I wanted a picture of her in the chair so you get the crazy face. But then as you can see she loved playing checkers with her best friend in the world, "Aunt Sandra".

Sandra had just stopped Noah from destroying the flowers out front so I snapped a quick photo.

We are so blessed to have such great friends like these. We are looking forward to later in July when they come to see us and meet Jack.
