Tomorrow is the big day. One of the sweet ladies at church is pregnant with TWINS, both boys, and we want to bless her with a diaper and necessities shower! These babies will be babies number 5 and 6 for them and number 4 is still in diapers! I couldn't help myself and tried to get creative my making decorations that could be used later, so I attempted to make a baby sock corsage, a diaper cake with trinkets, and a diaper bear! See what you think? My sweet sister-in-law, Adria, helped me tie all the bows and trinkets on the diaper cake and I greatly appreciated her help, the bows make the cake! Let me know what you think, PLEASE!

Chocolate and Country Music
Well, I don't know how many of you know this about me, but I am a stickler for the rules. For example, you don't turn a baby around in their car seat to face forward until they are a year and 20 pounds, not either or but both. You don't give an infant honey, eggs, peanut butter, or chocolate until they are 1 for various food allergy purposes. Well, I knew I would get a child who would try to break all the rules, and well, Jack is our little crazy boy.
Thursday afternoon I was getting ready and getting the kids ready to go to Mt. Pleasant for their tumbling and ballet classes and Jack was playing in the living room. I heard something pounding on the floor but assumed he was just playing with any of the loud toys we have in the play room. When I was fully ready to go with not a minute to spare I go in the play room to get Jack and put the kids in the car and he wasn't there. I had a bag of trash by the door ready to go, and and melted some chocolate that afternoon for something, but had thrown the bowl away...where did I find Jack, but in the kitchen like this...Then on Saturday I was getting ready while Richard and his dear friend Matt, who was in town for a weekend visit, went to go get Richard's brother Paul and the kids for a playdate and I turned on my iPod with my Bose docking station, by far one of my most favorite gifts my hubby has given me, I use it daily, I walked into the living room when Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" was on, save the lectures about the song for another day please, and I found that I had my very own country band in my own living room!
By the way, I didn't forget Jack's 10 month pictures, but he has been a pretty sick little boy so I will wait to take them until he is feeling better.

Naples, After the storm
Wednesday evening brought some nasty storms to our hometown. These are some pictures of what the storm left behind. The winds picked up around 7 a.m Thursday morning and did quiet a bit of damage. We lost power until around 11:30 Thursday morning, which made for some good family time at McDonalds and an unplanned trip to school for the kiddos.
This house is just across the rail road tracks from us about a mile away.
This tree is just beyond our fence line in our backyard.
And as you can see one of our pieces of playground equipment didn't make it through the wind. Hopefully tomorrow will be dry enough to be able to get out there and see if we can find all the pieces and fix it.

More bluebonnets and walking!
Well once again I got picture happy! Noah went with me while taking some senior pictures for a friend of ours yesterday so I had to stick him in the bluebonnets, which he actually did rather willingly. (Now looking at mommy for a picture is a different story.) Then not very surprisingly, Jack is walking! He took a couple of steps several weeks back but hasn't really done any since until Sunday. He kept take 2-3 steps and contemplating taking more but not succeeding until yesterday when he took as many as 8 just because. His first instinct is to try to walk first and if he can't then he will crawl. My mom always told me I would get one like me, being that I walked at nine months, and here I have him! I knew he was like a King!

Baby Blues...
Quite literally!
Yesterday when I was taking Michal Kate and Noah to school I noticed some bluebonnets in the field down from our house where I am beginning to take a lot of pictures. I decided I was not going to wait for the other two, that I wanted to take advantage of the bluebonnets while they still looked pretty and not trampled on. I took Jack down there and he was a little unsure of what we were doing. The picture above is when I moved him from one side of the flowers to the other, he did not like being put back down after being picked up. The picture below was the only shot I got of him looking up at me because the sun was in his eyes.
He really studied the flowers, he thought they were very neat.
And funny...
I just love bluebonnets!

New member of the family
Introducing Tinkerbell Castleman "TINK" for short. This is the newest addition to our family an 8 week old Jack Russell Terrior. She is a great puppy so far, she sleeps in her little bed , plays with her toys, goes outside, (only one accident in two days!), and goes in her crate, and is wonderful with the kids, including Jack who thinks she is a toy. She is a really sweet puppy and the kids love her. Just thought we would share some pics of our new baby.
